Dal Dhokli is popular dish in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. It can also be served with rice. The ingredients used are:-
Ingredients for Dal:-
150 gms toor dal
2 tbsp peanuts
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
1 green chilli
1 inch ginger
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 dried red chillies
Few curry leaves
½ tsp fenugreek (methi) seeds
¼ tsp hing (asafoetida)
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tomato chopped
½ tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander cumin (dhaniya jeera) powder
¼ tsp garam masala
1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
¾ tsp jaggery (gud)
2 tsp lemon juice
Fresh coriander leaves
Ingredients for Dhokli:-
½ cup wheat flour
½ cup besan (gram flour)
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander cumin powder (dhaniya jeera powder)
1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
Salt to taste
2 tsp oil
