I bought that iPhone 11 to use as my personal phone this year. Oops. This video is about why I wish I had gone for the Pro instead. It's not just because the Pro has a brighter screen outside (although that's SO much better). It's not just because the Pro is made of nicer, more premium materials. There's more to it -- and along the way I'll also be talking about "Pro" vs "non-Pro" Apple products as well and having a wider discussion on trade-offs. This is a little different than my typical vids (no tips or app recommendations) but I hope you like it! I went for the 11 and with what i saved from the pro, I bought the Apple watch 5.. which is simply amazing and in my mind much more bang for the buck than the phone ;) ... 324

@VectorGaming40804 years ago I upgraded from a XS Max to a Product Red 11 because I absolutely loved the size and was so impressed at how similar the LCD looked to the OLED in most scenarios. The only time I really notice a lack of OLED is when I’m watching a movie in the dark on my phone, which still looks good on the iPhone 11.
I love the extra battery life, the better cameras, and the color since I never use a case. As much as I like OLED tech, I’m still impressed at how good LCD continues to get in both my iPad Pro and this iPhone 11. In anything brighter than a dim room, the blacks appear perfectly black which is so rare on a backlit IPS LCD. ... 52

I noticed the downgrade in terms of screen resolution but after a few hours of using it, I dont notice it anymore. The display is insanely good in my own opinion. The colors are popping. I didn't upgrade because I picked up a Macbook pro for videos, etc. and I got a Sony a7iii for pics, the only real upgrade for me was the Camera, but with the new camera it blows all iPhone pics out of the water (yes its less transportable, but a sling makes it pretty darn easy to take around). That said, I will probably finally upgrade later this year. I really think smartphones have gotten to a point where they are so solid you can go with either the budget phone OR get the pro model and wait 3 years to upgrade. ...

@Browzer014 years ago I went with the 11 and not the pro cause of 2 things. The screen on the main pro is too small and the max is too maxy. Second, there is no power difference, all 11's have the same A13, and yes I usually walk a couple of extra feet to get that 2X shot so for me it was a no brainer. ... 1

I'm in management, and notice I use my Note 10 more for emails and notes on the go, but use iphone 11 for photos and social media needs. ... 1

@pieceoftrash1844 years ago You also have to keep accessories in mind. You should get a case, a screen protector, a fast charger, and maybe airpods. That all together is still cheaper than the iPhone 11 pro. So get the 11. 2

@DerekJamesMandy4 years ago I exchanged from an 11 Pro to the Max thinking it was the better option... I have a few days left and I think I’m going to go back to the 11 Pro. For consumption the Max is great and I love typing on it... but there’s been scenarios like taking selfies with friends were it’s a bit unwieldy. Additionally... my biggest issue is getting it into a pocket. This is a bigger issue when you’re already sitting down, sometimes it kind of jabs into hip area. Super weird and petty issue but the 11 Pro was a lot more comfortable for the day to day.
Side note I’m about 6’2” so it’s not a small pocket and hands issue. The Max is just a large phone. ... 4

They have the same internal specs but are made of different materials. For me, with any model, I'm looking to buy new from a reputable dealer with as much memory as possible. 256gb iphone 11 for 970€ vs the 64gb 11 pro for 1150€ (max I would allow myself to spend on a phone) talking about a 180€ difference with 192gb less for the 11 pro. Icloud isn't something I want to rely on or pay extra for. Anytime I've bought a phone with less memory to save money I have regretted it. The internal memory eventually gets taken up with years of updates that there is little you can do to have a fuss free experience. I think the 11 pro with a case would feel more comfy tho than a 11 with a case. The 11 without is a nicer size than the pro without. Good luck everyone.. 😄 ... 3

For the average user the pro model is an unnecessary cost. I have no issues with the LCD screen but will admit the pro screen is very nice. ... 1
