@Ryomichi2 years agoI started using Notability on iPad2 back in college. It was quite revolutionary because whenever I do homework, I just import the PDF given by the lecturer, and I write on top of it. I then print it out hand it over. Initially they were confused, but understood and accepted later. I also learned to get permission before doing such trick. This was also a great social tool in college. I get to share my notes and we can print and write on the paper to review lectures together. Don't forget that we can record sounds of lectures of those fast talking instructors. ...5

@katevelasco10076 years agoAm I the only one who prefers notability over goodnotes? 😂 I prefer how minimalistic notability is, and I see no use in designing notebook covers etc in goodnotes. I also prefer how all my notes can be displayed in one sidebar in notability since I switch between notes very often. Also if you’re someone who’s been using OneNote on windows laptops for so long (like me) notability is probably closest to that (so transitioning to notability isn’t too bad) since both apps are super minimalistic and the layouts of how notes are organised are pretty similar in both those apps. Also love the recording feature. Just putting my opinion! Overall I think its great for people who like to keep things simple. ...778

@AL-nq7cw5 years agoThank you so much. I bought GoodNotes when I first got my iPad in May this year because I didn't have enough time to research what note taking app I should get. Ultimately I went with GoodNotes because it was cheaper and I had already spent so much money on the iPad, the pencil and a case. GoodNotes is not by any means bad in comparison, but for my personal needs like being able to record lessons and having two pages side by side is something that I so badly need. I love how you explain straight to the point. No time wasted, thank you again! ☺️ ...1
@
@markmiller84645 years agoFor the text box issue, when you click it, you can select a paper option to match the background paper if you want. It's just not transparent so you have to line it up. As for the pen pressure, I find it works well as long as you pick one of the two smallest pen sizes to keep your handwriting looking good. I use a fountain pen on regular paper so I like the ability to alter the thickness of lines to make handwriting a little more personal. ...1

@wolfgangfritsch4855 years agothere appears to be another glitch in the process of highlighting text: once you insert text into your note at some later point, the text behind the insertion point will move down but the highlights will not, resulting in inappropriate highlighting behind the point of insertion. Worse, I don’t see how to modify/erase any existing highlighting... ...1
