@msrich19827 months ago Thanks for posting this. Everyone commenting on how carb vs proteins are digested differently seem to have missed your point on each bringing its own nutritional fulfilments. I take your point here to be "there's no such thing as a best sandwich except the one you like". ... 36

@c.r.blankenship90403 months ago I had the most weight loss success when I was eating something similar to this consistently — differences being mine was toasted, didn't include ketchup, and was essentially a cheese omelette folded onto the sandwhich with either ham or pepperoni on top ... 1

@Hi_Im_Akward4 months ago Hey, thank you I really appreciate you talking facts about nutrients. It helps a whole lot to enjoy the food your eating without the extra guilt associated with it. People forget that a part of a healthy balanced diet is satisfaction and thinking in healthy ways about the food your eating. Its very enjoyable fuel and that matters. ... 2

@sc94333 months ago Bread also spikes your blood sugar. Causing insulin release that hampers weight loss.
Pound for pound eating fats and proteins are way better for weight loss.
Bread/rice will just sabotage your effort.

@peterkwameosei-bonsu61353 months ago Bro, calories ain’t everything. carbs and proteins are entirely different in how the body takes and uses them. Insulin is probably the most powerful hormone after noradrenaline and adrenaline. Insulin resistance is the cause of the metabolic syndrome. Insulin resistance can be directly attributed to excess carbohydrates, particularly, ultra processed carbohydrates. I’m sure you know this. ... 1

@AutistikWaldo4 months ago To be fair if you eat 100calories worth of protein your body uses 25% of that to digest it. With carbs it's less than 10 calories burned to digest 100 calories. So although the numbers look the same on paper protein is far more nutrient dense and will take more calories to actually metabolize. ...

@BlahBlahPoop6173 months ago Your video is right but it’s also wrong:
It’s right because in the end calories in vs calories out is what matters when it comes to fat loss REGARDLESS of the food you eat.
However, it’s also wrong in the sense that the foods you eat do matter for fat loss insofar as being satiated is concerned. Less satiating foods will make it harder to stick to your diet and thus eat more. Remember, you’re already going to be hungry when cutting.
And the sandwhich you made was full of LOW SATIATING food.
White bread (little to no fiber) and eggs (soft texture protein) will go right through you.
New data and studies show that TEXTURE and volume are just as important if not more important than protein amount when being satiated. In fact, some low protein foods such s potatoes back WAY higher than high protein foods such as yogurt and eggs on the satiation index.
So if you’re cutting and you’re focusing on low fiber and/or SOFT TEXTURE FOODS (even if they’re high in protein), such as eggs, dairy, white bread, white rice, etc., you will feel way less full and be more tempted to eat more calories.
Focus on harder texture proteins which rank higher on the satiation index, such as lean fish, chicken breast, and harder texture and hover volume and higher carbs which also rank higher on the same index, such as potatoes, apples, oranges, melons, berries, oatmeal, whole wheat bread, etc.
Not all protein is equally satiating. And that’s not to say one can’t eat white bread or eggs. Just don’t make such foods the majority of your meals when cutting and think they’ll be equally satiating to the other foods I mentioned.

@burning1ko7 months ago The thing about carbs is it’s not filling. Any fat person myself included will tell u they can eat 4 sandwiches and be hungry. Protien and fats are more filling, and carbs can still be there. Not 40g per meal of carbs 4

@hadisoufi77522 months ago it's super easy to knock back 500 calories of doritos, but see what happens when you try eating 500 calories of olive oil. Calorie in calorie is all that matters at the end of the day but also, diet habits are more complex than that. This is pretty click-bait-y and like, not complete advice ...

@flippineck28252 months ago It depends on your thyroid. I was told my whole life that carbs were fine as long as i tracked my macros.
Deficit, deficit, deficit. Until there was no more deficit to drop. I was living daily on rice, chicken & vegetables, or salmon, potatoes & vegetables etc etc. Oats, rice, bread, blah blah.
You know what the issue is? Bread isnt food. Its a processed piece of edible product.
The only way for me, with training, was to cut the carbs right down.
I was running, sprinting, for 2+ hours per day. Carbs kept me fat.
You have NO idea what youre talking about.

@TehLiquid7 months ago My man has no idea what nutrition is, comparing carbs to protein based on their calories alone is asinine, incredibly foolish.
