Hendrik Andriessen - Ballade for Oboe and Piano

- Composer: Hendrik Franciscus Andriessen (17 September 1892 -- 12 April 1981) - Performers: Otto Bentinck (oboe), Monique Elias (piano) - Year of recording: 2002 Ballade for Oboe and Piano, written in 1952. One movement, marked 'Allegretto'. This composition was written after the German occupation of the Netherlands, during which the composer was imprisoned and over 100,000 Dutch citizens were executed. The Ballade is dedicated: "Aan Jaap Stotijn".
